Unlike other cases, “refined” concept is not a good thing in the coconut oil issue. Refined coconut oil does not contain the nutritional value that is supposedly present. Unrefined oil, loaded with nutrients, is what you should look for. You should also search for cold-pressed products, since the low-heat technique preserves the oil’s flavor and nutrition. Lastly, opt for virgin coconut oil, which means it has been produced in the most natural of ways, without any alteration of the oil.
